This has all been very strange and unnerving. Hermes hasn't spoken a word since we arrived here, and there's no sign that it is going to change any time soon. I don't know if he can't hear what I'm saying or if he simply is unable to answer. Either way, it doesn't make me feel any better about it, and yet I'm helpless to do anything as things are now.
For the first time, my rule to never stay in one place for more than three days has certainly been broken at this point. Although that may by itself is less of a problem than it would be normally, since I'm unlikely to become attached to this place.
I'm still traveling around the area on foot, since I can't ride Hermes at this point. Pushing him while fighting the monsters has been difficult, but there have been no other major problems.
At least one good thing happened. For a while, the sky cleared and two moons were visible. I've never seen a night sky quite like that before.
